Umpiring - Rules & Guidelines

Understanding the game and our association's standards of play.

Our Approach to Fair Play

We follow standard netball rules, ensuring safety and fair play for all. Our official Rules & Regulations and NetSetGo Modified Rules guides are available for download below, outlining all club expectations and player requirements.

Match & Player Guidelines

Rolling Substitutions

  • Use at any time while play is in progress. Subs must be named on the scoresheet and be from the bench.
  • Stand in the designated area (opposite the Centre Circle) and tag the leaving player OFF COURT. Only one sub per team at a time.
  • No time is held. Delaying play or interfering with Umpires incurs a Free Pass. Standard Offside rules apply.
  • If no sub is waiting, the player is considered a late arrival and must wait for a goal or stoppage.

* Umpires have no responsibility for rolling subs except for offsides, delaying play, late arrivals, and interference.

Medical Devices

Medical alert bracelets and devices must be securely covered and taped so they do not pose a risk during play.
