WDNA History

About Us

63 years of community, commitment, and netball on the Central Coast.

63 Years of Community Netball

In 1961, Wyong District Netball Association was founded by Carole Field. A local teacher, Carole saw the need for a Saturday sporting competition in the area. Through her foresight, eight teams marched down Alison Road in Wyong to the local school sports fields, marking the beginnings of our Association.

Our continued success can be largely attributed to our passionate groups of volunteers that have come and gone over the past 63 years, and our volunteers that will guide WDNA into the future. We provide a welcoming environment for players of all ages and abilities — from our youngest NetSetGO participants through to competitive junior and senior teams.

Our History & Patron

With a passion for netball spanning back over six decades, WDNA has grown into a premier association on the Central Coast. We pride ourselves on creating an inclusive, competitive, and supportive environment for players of all ages and skill levels, welcoming families from all over the region to participate in our great sport.
